Q-SYS Audio, Video & Control
One Q-SYS platform for audio, video and control — reliable, flexible and easy for your teams to use, from a single meeting room to a campus-wide standard.
Why Q-SYS
Q-SYS is a software-based, full-stack AV platform that brings audio, video and control together. Instead of piecing together separate boxes, you get one scalable system that grows with you. It runs on standard IT networks, connects with the collaboration platforms your teams already use, and is monitored and managed from the cloud.
For facilities and IT teams, that means fewer devices to manage and faster deployment, and because the platform is software-based, many improvements arrive as updates rather than new hardware. For the people using the room, it means predictable behaviour: walk in, press one button, and everything just works.
Q-SYS at a glance
- One platform: audio, video and control in a single, software-based system.
- IT-friendly: built on standard IT networks and protocols.
- Cloud management: remote monitoring and management with Q-SYS Reflect.
- Scalable: from a single meeting room to an enterprise-wide standard.
- Open ecosystem: vetted third-party integrations and developer tools.
- Complete room kit: NC Series cameras, NL Series loudspeakers, NM Series microphones and TSC Series touch screens.
Works with the platforms you already use
The meeting room systems are certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms, and the conference cameras connect over USB to other modern conferencing platforms, including Google Meet. So your teams keep the tools they know, and every room behaves the same way.
The platform also works alongside the other technology we supply — see our audio visual services and Google Meet hardware.
How we work with Q-SYS
We design a Q-SYS system around your spaces, then install, commission and set it up so it’s simple for your staff to use, with training and responsive support.
Every project starts with a look at your rooms: their size, acoustics and seating, and how each space is used. We then specify the cameras, microphones, loudspeakers and touch screens to suit, test every room end to end before handover, and train your staff and IT team so they’re confident running it day to day.
After handover, we look after it remotely with Q-SYS Reflect:
- Monitor: live status of every room on one dashboard.
- Alert: we hear about problems before your users do.
- Fix: updates, patches and settings changes, without a site visit.
- Report: how reliable your rooms are and how they’re used.
Where Q-SYS fits
Q-SYS suits any space where audio, video and control need to work as one system. These are the spaces where we most often recommend it.

Meeting rooms and boardrooms
Certified systems for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms, with network cameras, microphones and loudspeakers sized to the room. Several cameras can feed one video stream and switch between shots automatically, so remote attendees follow the conversation as it happens.

Divisible and multipurpose spaces
Training rooms, function rooms and halls that open into one large space or split into smaller ones. The system manages the room combining, and each layout can be run from one simple touchscreen, without anyone rewiring the room.

Paging and background music
Announcements, recorded messages and background music for reception areas, canteens and open-plan floors. Touchscreen paging stations handle live and recorded announcements, and network expanders bring loudspeakers, lighting and motorised blinds into the same system.
Because the platform is software-based, one system can cover all three, managed from one place. Not sure which of your spaces need it? We'll assess them as part of our audio visual work.
Q-SYS: frequently asked questions
What is Q-SYS?
It’s a software-based platform that brings audio, video and room control together in one system. Instead of separate boxes for each job, you get one scalable system that runs on standard IT networks and is managed from the cloud.
Does it work with Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet?
Yes. The meeting room systems are certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms, and the conference cameras connect over USB to other conferencing platforms, including Google Meet.
Can it grow from one room to a whole building?
Yes. The platform scales from a single meeting room to a campus-wide standard, so you can start with one space and add rooms over time while keeping the same equipment, controls and user experience everywhere.
Can Q-SYS work with the equipment we already have?
Often, yes. Plugins let the system connect, configure and control a wide range of third-party devices, such as network microphones and cameras, so people operate them from the same touchscreen as everything else. We check what you have during the site assessment and tell you what can stay.
What's the difference between Q-SYS and a video bar?
A video bar puts the camera, microphones and speakers in one device, which suits small and medium rooms — see our Neat and Huddly pages. Q-SYS is a platform: separate cameras, microphones, loudspeakers and controls working as one system. It suits larger rooms, divisible spaces and estates that need central management. As an independent supplier, we recommend whichever fits the room.
Can the rooms be monitored remotely?
Yes. Q-SYS Reflect is the cloud platform for monitoring and managing systems remotely. It shows the live status of every room on one dashboard, sends alerts when something goes wrong, and allows updates and fixes without a site visit.
Do you install and support the system?
Yes. We design the system around your spaces, then install, commission and set it up so it’s simple to use, with training and responsive support. After handover, we look after it remotely with Reflect.
